Description
These Spacer Strips for decorative panels are the essential solution for homeowners looking to fit metric-sized fencing into existing imperial post gaps. Most decorative panels are manufactured to a 1.8m metric width, which is slightly narrower than the traditional 6ft (1.83m) imperial standard. Consequently, if you are replacing older panels between existing concrete or timber posts, you may find a small gap. By attaching these timber strips to the sides of your panel, you can effortlessly bring them up to full imperial dimensions. Therefore, you can achieve a perfect, snug fit without needing to move your fence posts.
Simple Solution for a Professional Finish
Using a pair of spacer strips ensures your fencing project remains structurally sound and visually seamless. Furthermore, these strips provide several practical benefits:
-
Universal Compatibility: Designed specifically to suit our range of decorative fence panels.
-
Pressure Treated Timber: Each strip is fully pressure treated to match the longevity of your fencing. As a result, they are protected against rot and decay, even in damp conditions.
-
Easy Installation: These strips can be quickly nailed or screwed to the vertical batten of the panel frame. Additionally, they provide a clean, flush finish that is barely noticeable once installed.
-
Cost-Effective Upgrade: Avoid the significant labour and expense of repositioning posts. Consequently, these strips are a time-saving must-have for DIY and trade projects across Harlow and Hertford.
